Wyndham Park Homeowners Association Summer Picnic 2005 took a new twist this summer with a change to a location along Hoover Reservoir. The private park location of the Buckeye Boat Club was made available to us under the sponsorship of residents Bob and Patsy Casey. The clubhouse on the grounds provided a choice of indoor or outdoor tables, a beautiful lake view and the opportunity to drink legal beverages. About 45 of our residents enjoyed an afternoon and evening of good company and good food.
After the potluck supper, twenty-two lucky attendees won door prizes of discount coupons to several local eateries. Jim and Mary Ann Maxwell did the legwork of gathering the prizes. A group of residents enjoyed the extra hospitality of the Casey's as their pontoon boat made a tour of the reservoir in the evening breeze. Trustees Lois Rumph, Peggy Kuhlman and Dick DeBrosse found the setup and cleanup a breeze too and hope to see everyone back again next year with even more of our neighbors.
